Doug & Lisa Strader
Senior Pastor
Doug has been the Senior Pastor at MBC since August of 2008. He came to us with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies from Grace College and Seminiary, Winona Lake, Indiana, and a Master's of Biblical Studies Degree from Gulf Shore Baptist Seminary, Fort Myers, Florida. Doug and Lisa were married in 1980 and have had the privilege of serving the Lord together in ministry for over 36 years in churches in South Florida and Southeast Michigan. They have two grown children and seven grandchildren. Doug is very passionate about his relationship with Christ and the ministry he has been called to lead. He loves to spend time with Lisa and their grandkids, play golf, and watch as many college basketball games as he can during "March Madness." One of his favorite scripture passages is Ephesians 3:20-21: "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."
Noah & Erica Radtke
Youth Pastor
Noah has been the Youth Pastor at Milan Baptist Church since May of 2016. He completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Liberty University in 2013, and is currently attending Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary Online for a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry. He has served in multiple ministries, all with the central focus of gospel outreach and discipleship for children and adolescents. Passionate about life—and most importantly the abundant life found in Jesus Christ—Noah’s goal is to reach out to the youth of this community with the gospel, provide discipleship opportunities as the youth grow in their relationship with God, and demonstrate a life lived to the fullest for Jesus Christ. When he is not with his teens, Noah loves to read, spend time with friends and family, and do many things outdoors—especially with his beautiful wife, Erica! One of his favorite Bible passages is Colossians 1:9-14: “ And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins."
Our Support Staff
Jan Hasselbring
Jan has served our church as secretary for 46 years. Growing up in Milan, after graduating from high school she attended Cedarville University where she received a B.S. in Secretarial Studies. Following graduation and after much prayer, the Lord led her to be a year-round staff member at Camp Barakel in Fairview, Michigan, as the camp registrar. While there, she met her future husband, Ron Hasselbring. She left Barakel to marry Ron in 1970 and soon after began her work as Milan Baptist's secretary. She served her first 19 years under Pastor Blake Hunt and has continued through the present time. Jan and Ron have two grown children, Cindy and Blake.
