Milan Baptist Church has had a long-standing priority of supporting missionaries and mission organizations, domestically and abroad.  Records show that our Church devoted human and financial resources toward communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ through mission opportunities as far back as 1883; even today we support . . .

  • 4 missionaries serving domestically,
  • 7 serving internationally,
  • 5 retired, and
  • 5 mission organizations
  • using 10% of the Church budget.

In addition, Milan Baptist Church often has adults and youth participate in short-term mission opportunities.  In 2018, for example, we had members serve in Argentina, Brazil, the Philippines, and domestically.

Praise God for these mission organizations and people as they sacrifice so much to share the Gospel with people around the world.  May all of us claim every place we go as our mission field for Jesus Christ.

Operation Christmas Child

Let’s try something new!  With the success of Operation Christmas Child this past Fall, our mission team spent time reflecting on 2019.  We are going to keep OCC every Fall with the opportunity for our families to take shoeboxes home and pack them together.  In addition to this, we will be offering our families the chance to donate items monthly between now and OCC 2020.  Each month will focus on a specific theme and families are invited to bring items to church during that month and place in the OCC donation bin in the narthex.  Items will be stored throughout the year and then our families will be invited to a “packing party” next October!  You can contact Kathleen Spencer with any questions at 734.277.5638 or kspen36624@aol.com.
